Is Microsoft Access being discontinued?
No. Microsoft Access is still included in Microsoft 365 and in the current perpetual release, Access LTSC 2024, and Microsoft has not announced an end-of-life date. Microsoft is putting most of its new investment into Power Platform and Dataverse, though, so Access is best treated as stable but not growing. We help you keep it running safely now and plan a migration when it makes sense for your business, not because of a rumor.
Can you fix a corrupted Access database?
Yes, in most cases. We recover data from damaged .accdb and .mdb files, repair broken forms, reports, and VBA code, and find the root cause, usually a shared network setup, an unsplit database, or an unstable connection. Then we put safeguards in place, like a split front end and back end and automated backups, so it doesn’t happen again.
Do we have to migrate away from Access completely?
Not necessarily. Many businesses get years of reliable use out of Access with proper maintenance, a split architecture, or a SQL Server back end that keeps the familiar Access front end. As your Microsoft Access consultant, we start with a free diagnostic and recommend the least disruptive path, whether that’s stabilizing what you have, a partial migration, or a full move to Power Platform.
What's the difference between migrating to Power Platform vs. SQL Server?

It’s a good fit for large data volumes or complex reporting. A Power Platform migration rebuilds the system with Power Apps, Dataverse or SharePoint, and Power Automate, giving you browser and mobile access, built-in Microsoft 365 security, and automated workflows. We’ll help you pick based on your users, data size, budget, and where your business is headed.
